Lodging and Meeting Spaces

Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center offers a distinctive setting for both formal and casual gatherings for visitors of all ages. Our accommodations include diverse conference space facilities and lodging options as well as flexible meeting-package pricing. Our billing process is also streamlined; we add no surcharges, taxes, gratuity or unexpected costs to the price of your stay with us.

Ferncliff is a retreat facility, and we therefore strive to stay true to the spirit of retreating. The center is just outside of our state’s capital city of Little Rock, yet it is just far enough from the bustle of the city to feel like you are truly getting away from it all.  Located only 24 miles away from the Little Rock National Airport, Ferncliff is a convenient destination for local groups as well as those traveling from all parts of the U.S.

There are no televisions or telephones in the guest rooms, which offers visitors a reprieve from the noise and bustle of daily life.  However, all of our conference spaces are equipped with wireless high-speed internet. All lodging and meeting spaces are temperature controlled, and additional amenities, including  dry erase boards, flip charts, TV/DVD, LCD Projector, overhead projector and screens are available upon request, at no additional charge to your group.

Brown Conference Center:

The Brown Conference Center, comprised of meeting space as well as the two lodging facilities Cypress and Pine, features 24 motel-style rooms that can comfortably accommodate up to forty-eight (48) adults.  Twenty of the rooms have two double-beds.  Four of the rooms are handicap-accessible, with one double and one single bed in each room. Each room in the Brown Center has a private bathroom with shower. All visitors also enjoy a wonderful view of scenic Ferncliff Lake.

The main conference space of the Brown Center has a large meeting room that measures approximately 39 ft by 27 ft for a total 1,053 square feet of meeting space. It can comfortably accommodate sixty (60) people in a  theater-style seating arrangement, and an old-fashioned wraparound porch with oversized, wooden rocking chairs overlooks the lake.

For smaller groups, the conference room can be divided into two separate spaces, each of which will accommodate approximately thirty (30) people.

The Brown Center is also home to a cozy lounge area, approximately 17 feet by 27 feet, a total of 459 square feet of meeting space; it is also ideal small-group breakout space.  Our standard setup provides groups with a sitting area comprised of three couches surrounding the rustic, fully-functional, stone fireplace. Approximately fifteen (15) people can comfortably enjoy this room. Connecting the lounge area and the main conference room, there is a small kitchenette with a refrigerator and microwave, as well as provision for unlimited coffee and hot tea service. The kitchenette is accessible from either meeting space.

Williams Lodge:

Williams Lodge is a newly-renovated, rustic, hillside retreat. This conference center is ideal for smaller groups. The meeting space at Williams features a large fireplace and a breathtaking view of the lake, with upper and lower decks overlooking the water. At 42 feet by 31 feet (1,300 square feet), the conference room can accommodate sixty (60) people in a theater-style seating arrangement. A break-out lounge adjoins the Williams Conference Center. This space is 30 feet by 23 feet, for 690 square feet of meeting space.

A full-sized farm kitchen is located just off the main conference room for the convenience of guests.  It is equipped with a standard range, refrigerator and microwave, as well as provisions for unlimited coffee and hot tea service.

Williams Lodge offers eight (8) motel-style rooms.  Each room has three twin-beds and a private bathroom with a shower.  This facility will comfortably accommodate 24 people.

Lakeside Cabins:

Belden Pond Cabins:

These four duplex cabins are perched on a crest above the three-acre Belden Pond. The cabins are youth-oriented (yet adult-friendly cabins) that can accommodate a group of eighty (86).  Each cabin is divided into 2 separate, but adjoining, bunkrooms, each with private bathroom and shower areas. The cabins are temperature-controlled, modern, and spacious.

Christian Activity Building (CAB):

The Ferncliff Christian Activity Building is a large, multipurpose facility that can accommodate up to two hundred (200) people seated theater-style. This space is well suited to large-group youth activities or to adult conference meetings. There is a low stage equipped  with a complete sound system.  The primary meeting space in the C.A.B. is 50 feet by 50 feet, for a total of 2,500 square feet.

On the south wall of the CAB is a bouldering wall, designed to be used by youth and adults for recreation or as a team-building activity.  An orientation/training session with an experienced Ferncliff Staff member is required prior to group use. Not only does wall-bouldering encourage physical agility and dexterity; it also teaches problem solving and builds self-esteem.

A small kitchenette/concession area is connected to the main room by a service window.  An additional breakout room, measuring 18 feet by 27 feet is also available in the building, offering groups a more intimate space for small-group discussion or activities.

Mosley Tabernacle:

Mosley Tabernacle is a large, open-air Tabernacle that allows guests to enjoy a spectacular view of Belden Pond, which is nestled in the rolling hills at the [blank] end of Ferncliff’s grounds. This space can comfortably accommodate up to 200 people in a theater-style seating arrangement. Adorned with a large, magnificent stone fireplace and beautiful natural-wood rafters, the Mosley Tabernacle is the perfect setting for outdoor gatherings, whether formal or casual. For the comfort of our guests, the tabernacle is equipped with ceiling fans for use in the warmer months.

Situated between the Mosley Tabernacle and the C.A.B. is the Big Deck.  This deck is (need dimensions) a great place to host a dance or picnic under blue skies or bright stars.  Also--located just feet away--is our Amphitheater and campfire ring, which offers a woodsy space for outdoor vesper services or just hanging out and roasting marshmallows.

Ramsey Chapel and Labyrinth:

The Ramsey Chapel is tucked away in the valley of two hills, and, because it is rather isolated, it is an ideal spot for meditation and/or worship for small groups of approximately 20.  Just outside the chapel is the Ferncliff Labyrinth.  Built by youth participants in Ferncliff Connection Camps, an annual healing retreat for those affected by school violence, the Labyrinth is ideal for quiet reflection, walking meditation, and renewal of your individual connection with God.

Fern Creek Retreat House:

This self-contained retreat house is located approximately a half-mile from the Ferncliff Welcome Center, but it is still located on the main camp grounds.  Guests of Fern Creek have access to all Ferncliff amenities. A gravel walking/biking trail leads guests through the woods to Ferncliff Lake, and at night hanging lanterns light the way.

Fern Creek can accommodate up to 24 people.  It has five bedrooms, three full baths, one half bath, a full-service standard kitchen, a large dining room with serving area, a washer and dryer, an outdoor basketball court, and a spacious yard.  The dining area is approximately 13 feet by 35 feet (455 ft sq) which can be used as a meeting space.   The retreat house also offers a deck with a portable grill for guest use. A large campfire area is located just a few yards from the deck, providing visitors with a fun area to gather to roast marshmallows in the evening.

Adventure Area:

The Ferncliff Adventure Area consists of Lewis and Clark, stack wood cabins, and two large “tree houses,” Easter and Christmas, which are connected to each other by a large deck/porch.   This rustic, minimalist, camping area can accommodate a group of up to 36 people.  There is a large pavilion and fire pit area between the cabins.  Each unit is equipped with electricity, lights and a ceiling fan.  A bath “barn” is only a few yards away that provides bathroom and shower facilities for Adventure Area guests.
