Summer 2011: Another "Best Summer Ever"
Summer 2011 is "in the books" as they say. Abby recruited an exceptional group of counselors and handed the reins over to Joel Gill as she enrolled in graduate school. Campers enjoyed new activities such as Mountain boarding, gardening, orienteering and a revamped nature program.
Night Owl and Cooking camps were popular and an offsite Canoe Camp (in Missouri) and a Solar under the Sun camp were introduced. Chaplains and Bible studies explored the theme of keeping our "Eyes Wide Open" to creation, to each other, and to what God is doing in our lives.
Camp-in-a-Van expanded to go to 8 different settings including Vera Lloyd, Presbyterian Village and a church in Louisiana.
We are already working on plans to build on the success and make 2012 another "best summer ever."
