The Shady Chute
Ferncliff now has a 120' enclosed slide down the mountain we call Matthew - right across from the Welcome Center. �It is not a water slide but a dry slide. �You can slide down in your clothes or on a piece of material. �It is made of 36" diameter corrugated drainage tube and you exit onto a piece of conveyor belt. �It's a lot of fun. Grandpa Ted (he doesn't mind telling people that he will be 80 on the 4th of July) did it and took photos before, during and after! �It is named the Shady Chute since it is off the Shady Shortcut Trail.
