Our archery targets took a lot of hits last summer. That’s a good thing. We need some replacements as the old ones need to be rotated out.
Invisible Children.com Bracelets $20 each
Invisible Children.com is a wonderful ministry started by youth to help children in war torn Uganda. This will be one of the creative and world changing ministries we will be using to inspire campers this summer. One of the ways to support their work is to buy bracelets made by Ugandan youth. Bracelets cost $20 with most of the money going to help Ugandan youth go to school. We would like to buy bracelets for all our summer staff. 25-30. Learn more at www.invisiblechildren.com
Used Golf Cart (gas)
We need a golf cart dedicated for our Nurse Janie to make her rounds. We have found golf carts to be good options since they are easy for multiple drivers and reduce our gasoline consumption versus larger vehicles. If you are considering upgrading your cart, consider donating your old one to camp!
Overflow Rollaway Beds for Campers @ $150
Summer camp registrations are up! To maximize space we want to have two rollaway beds in each cabin. Each of these beds represents the potential for another child each week that we can accept!
Songbird Aviary $5,000
Wouldn’t it be great to have songbirds to bring life and song to guests and campers as they come to Ferncliff’s Welcome Center? What a great first impression. Living Design is the largest breeder of finches in North America. They hand craft aviaries and take care of the birds. They have a number of units we have visited in Arkansas. This would make a great honor or memorial gift for a bird/nature lover.
Video Camera – $325
This generation is very video oriented. We would like to record videos during summer camp that we can use in worship, put on Youtube for marketing, and attach to our website for people to get live tours of camp. If we can’t get people to camp, bringing the camp to them is the next best thing. Canon FS100 Flash Memory Recorder with 48x advanced zoom.
